Introduction: Hip arthroplasty is increasing over time, due to development in implants and surgical techniques. Common indications for hip arthroplasty are osteoarthritis, neck of femur fracture. Methods: It was a retrospective study; data was collected from Hospital management information system (HMIS) from Jun 2016 till June 2021 with minimum 6 months follow up. Data was collected for surgical indications, re admissions, infections, dislocations, or revision surgery, hospital stay, ICU admissions, pulmonary embolism and mortality. Our study set up was Northwest General hospital and research center, Peshawar, Pakistan. Results: Total of 169 patients were included. These patients were broadly divided into 3 groups, out of these 169 patients, 13 (7.70%) patients underwent Bipolar hemiarthroplasty, 54 (31.95%) underwent THR and 102 (60.35%) underwent AMP. 89 (52.66%) were male patients and 80 (47.33%) were female patients. Left side arthroplasty was done in 92 (54.44%) patients and right-side arthroplasty was done in 77 (45.56 %) patients. Total 41 (24.26%) patients received transfusion7 (4.15%) patients were shifted to ICU post op. There were few complications reported in our study. 5 out of 169 (2.95%) patients had pulmonary embolism and 4 (2.37%) patients expired.
