Comparative Analysis of Hemodynamic Response to Local Anesthetic Agent (Lignocaine) with and without Adrenaline In Dental OPD” at Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar.

The present research was intended to assess the comparative investigation of bleeding and hemodynamic response to local anesthetic agent (lignocaine) with and without adrenaline in Dental OPD at Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar. A prospective randomized comparative study was conducted. Duration 6 months study a hundred patient were selected randomly divided in to two groups i.c. 50 in group A and 50 in group B (males and females). Group A will receive lignocaine without adrenaline while group B receive lignocaine with adrenaline Smeg/ml (1:200000) respectively. The demographic data like sex, weight and ASA between the 2 groups were non-significant. Therefore, both groups A and B had same number of both males and females (males 25, females 25). In this study we want to see the response of bleeding and we take at in three variables Mild, Moderate and Severe and we also want to see the hemodynamic response in this study so we take the hemodynamic response in four variables first is pre-induction, second is T1(3mins after injection), third is 12(6mins after injection), and the fourth one is T4(9mins after injection). Hemodynamic response (HR. SBP, DBP. and MAP) was decrease in group A after giving simple lidocaine and increase in group B after giving lidocaine mixed with adrenaline. Pre-induction values is taken as baseline values. Hemodynamic response (HR. SBP, DBP and MAP) took 6mins (TI) or 9mins (T2) for the group A to return to normal and in group B at remain elevated.

A significant bleeding and hemodynamic response consist of increase in bleeding and decrease in hemodynamic response (HR, SBP. DBP and MAP) was seen after the injection of simple lidocaine in group A but at decrease bleeding and increase hemodynamic (HR. SBP, DBP and MAP) response significantly in group B after injection of lidocaine with epinephrine. We found that lidocaine with epinephrine is effective medication on decrease bleeding and on hemodynamic response (HR. SBP, DBP and MAP) increasing after injection in T1, T2 and a little bit in 13 also..
