ABSTRACT
Most of the patient which facing type 2 diabetes mellitus have a low testosterone levelas compare to the those have not type 2 diabetes mellitus. The small amount of thesepatient will face hypogonadism is due to insulin resistance. The male hypogonadismis an endocrine sickness describes by low level of serum testosterone level and it’sstrictly linked to development of diabetes mellitus. Insulin resistance is a commonmediator of mild serum testosterone in male with type 2 diabetes mellitus while theinverse relation of testosterone and diabetes mellitus is partially facilitated by sexhormone binding globulin (SHBG). Mild testosterone shortage stated to total testosterone (TT) levels of 8-12nmolL with signs of hypogonadism. In fit men, equally high and low serumtestosterone concentrations are connected with insulin resistance, whereas lowconcentration of sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) is related to condensedinsulin sensitivity. Levels of sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and testosteronehave been previously associated with various diseases such as metabolic syndrome.It is possible that men with chronic diseases might have even lower testosterone levels. Fresh studies have showed the possible status of the rule of insulin sensitivity by testosterone in both women and men. The current prevalence is of type 2 diabetes mellitus in Pakistanis 11.20% in male. The extents ofdiabetes with low total testosterone levelsare 36.5%. The alteration in testosteronelevel Derweenmcn with diabetes matched tomen without diabetes is reasonable and comparable in degree to the belongings ofother chronic diseases, telling that low testosterone may be anindicator of poor health.The Signs of hypogonadism due to diabetes mellitus and other causes is containingreduced libido, erectile dysfunction, difficultly paying attention, memory loss,depression, declined bone mineral density (BMD) and diminished lean muscle mass.
